I am blessed and honored to be working with Cross Church of Northwest Arkansas a church with a huge vision to reach their area and the world with the Gospel. Every 4th of July they have a great celebration at their Pinnacle Hills campus. The highlight is the baptism service where Senior Pastor Ronnie Floyd baptizes people who have recently given their lives to Christ.
Not long after the 4th a saw a Tweet from Cross Church rejoicing in the fact that 90 people were baptized that night. We were already planning on a mid-summer giving letter to encourage people to continue to give. My thought was to use this fantastic story to show people what giving to their church helps accomplish. Dr. Floyd took my idea to the next level and produced the following letter.
Dear Cross Church Family,
Each of us loves a great story. Well, I have a story to tell you that is special and better than anything out of Hollywood.
You may be familiar with the name, Brandon Moore. He just completed his sophomore season playing for the University of Arkansas Razorback Baseball Team. In this World Series season for the Razorbacks, Brandon Moore pitched 29 ballgames. While his achievements are worthy of notice, more special than all of this is the fact that, during this year, Brandon came to know Jesus Christ personally. Through relationships, he began to attend our Cross Church Fayetteville Campus. As a result of all of this, on Sunday night, July 1, under the crosses at Pinnacle Hills, I had the privilege to baptize Brandon Moore, along with 89 other wonderful people, all with theirown individual stories.
You are a part of Brandon’s story and the stories of the other 89 people I baptized that night. Your faithfulness in supporting the ministries and mission of Cross Church allows us to reach the Brandon Moore’s of the world. Brandon Moore is only one story out of many happening not just in Northwest Arkansas, but literally around the world.
Experiencing Fireworks At The Crosses with 8,000 plus other people and personally baptizingthose 90 people was only a brief glimpse into all God is doing this summer through Cross Church. While great things are happening here daily, we are mobilizing hundreds of people around the world to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These are exciting days at Cross Church
Just as a football team has a half-time experience, we are at the halftime of our summer. We need you to help us finish, on top of our budget need, this Summer Program of Giving that ends on Labor Day.
How many more stories like Brandon Moore’s will we be able to celebrate by the end of the summer? Hopefully, hundreds more! Just as you were a part of his story, let’s all become a part of the stories to come.
Thanks for all you are giving to advance God’s Kingdom,
Ronnie W. Floyd

Now that is a story! What stories do you have to tell that will excite and motivate your donors to give? You have stories you simply need to tell your story. As my mentor Dave Sutherland use to say, “Nothing moves a heart like a heart that has been moved.” Tell what you are accomplishing for the Kingdom and your donors will give to support seeing that work continue.
